Privacy and Terms of Use
This community is not a commercial website. Our goal is to share knowledge and experience with others,
not to make money from blogging. All advertising and similar features of this site have only the goal
helping to maintain the fees associated with hosting, domains and other services available in the
website.
This site was created with the "Be the change you wanna see in this world" principle in mind, so
everything is tried to kept at the higher level of freedom and lower level of intrusion possible.
Terms of use
As a visitor, you agree to:
- To not post spam, insults, illegal content or URLs, or other innapropiate content.
- To discuss in a polite way. It is perfectly valid to disagree with the bloggers or with visitor
comments, but always avoiding insults and the like.
As a blogger, additionally you agree to:
- Delete only comments not related to your blog posts or violating the terms of use (example: spam).
- Do not reference illegal sites or software (example: warez pages).
We also encourage everyone (both bloggers and visitors) to give proper credit of the sources.
Privacy
- As a visitor, we will only track general information of you (OS, browser, geographical situation,...)
and your IP address for security reasons.
- This information is only available to the Administrator, and will only be used in case of
violation of user terms to restrict or ban access to the website.
- When commenting a blog post or download entry, your website information is optional and is only asked
to provide your comment a reference to your own blog/website.
We won't contact you or use it in any way other than that. We don't ask you for an email address for commenting,
so there is not even an opportunity of spamming you.
- If you contact the administrator or any of the bloggers, your conversation will be private between
the recipient and you. We won't add you to any distribution list, nor send you any email not related to
your original conversation.
- Our site hosting fees are maintained partially by serving Google AdSense text and image Ads.
Google uses cookies and javascript to serve the ads,
including a DoubleClick Cookie.
- We do not however serve Interest-based Ads because we think they are a bit too much intrusive:

- Additionally, bloggers have to provide a valid email address in order to send to them their blog
administration details. We offer the option of a @kartones.net email account to keep separated blog
notifications and Administrator emails from your personal account, but at any moment a blogger can
modify its blog preferences, notification details or associated email address from their control panel.
